Subject Guide on Effectively Reading Medical Literature

Contents

Introduction

Learning to effectively read medical literature is almost a science unto itself – and critical skill. The practice of medicine is constantly changing and health care practitioners (and journalists and the public) need to be able critically appraise the information, and decide whether or not to incorporate it into practice based on the strength of the evidence and methods.
