Basic Information Resources for Materials Science
Contents
Books about materials science can be found using the PAC
library catalog
to conduct a search for author, title or subject. Some subject headings include MATERIALS,
PLASTICS. For a complete listing of subject headings consult the
Library of Congress Subject Headings kept by the Science
Reference Desk on the 5th floor.
If a copy of the Library of Congress Subject Headings is
unavailable then try the following technique. First search your term(s) sing
the WORD command on the PAC. When you retrieve a title that looks
reasonable, display the full record and look at its subject headings. You can
then search for additional books with that subject heading by using the
S command (SHOW similar items).
To find SDSU master theses look under the subject heading SDSU THESIS ENGINEERING
