What is the difference between climate and weather? Climate is the historical record and description of meteorological conditions (temperature, rain, wind, sun) in a particular geographic area. Weather is the state of the atmosphere at a specific time. Meteorology is the science and study of the atmosphere and climatology is the study of the climate.
