Comprehensive Sites
- The Center for Research Libraries
- A collection of links to member research library collections and online catalogs. Includes the SEEMP (Slavic and East European Microform Project programs). The purpose of SEEMP is to collect unique, scarce, and rare research and manuscript material on microform. This project covers the former Soviet Union, Mongolia, the Baltic States, and Eastern and Central Europe.
- East Coast Consortium of Slavic Library Collection
- Advocates cooperation among Eurasian area studies collections. Provides links to its member institutions.
- EX-USSR
- A collection of data files concerning the republics of the former USSR. Includes embassies, constitutions, e-mail addresses, and other pertinent information.
- The New York Public Library
- The NYPL's Slavic and Baltic Division maintains this online guide to Slavic, Baltic, East European, and Eurasian internet sites. Links to library and archival institutions are also given here.
- PACSLAV
- The Pacific Coast Slavic and East European Library Consortium is a cooperative of libraries with the purpose of creating a Slavic resource on the West Coast. Its web page contains a "Memorandum of agreement," a list of "Member institutions," "Announcements," and "Current projects."
- REECA Web
- A collection of links to Russian, East European, and Central Asian collections at the University of Wisconsin Madison libraries. Included are links to fulltext journals and newspapers published in these geographic entities.
- REENIC
- It is the Russian and East European Network Information Center, sponsored by the University of Texas at Austin. Contains access to academic databases and information on Eastern Europe and the USSR. Has a country directory, a link to web resources, and searching capability of the REENIC site.
- The REES Web
- A comprehensive index to electronic resources concerning, among others, the Russian Federation and the former Soviet Union. Resources are categorized by discipline (language, literature, culture) and by type(databases, listserves, software). Includes links to national homepages, web servers in the Soviet Union, and major sites.
- Russia on the Net
- An extensive list of 1043 URLs concerning Russian art, culture, news, personal home pages, business, politics, etc.
- Russia on the Web
- Contains material on Russian society and culture; also covers languages and literature, philosophy, business, education, and history. Its purpose is to foster a working relationship between Russia and the West.
- Russian Language Bookmarks
- Published by the Department of Foreign Language at the University of Toledo. It is an extensive list of bookmarks covering education, language and culture, finance, politics, internet servers, etc.
- Russian Language Resources
- Leads users to resources in the Russian language. Includes links to a reference grammar book, a Russian language dictionary, Cyrillic fonts, Russian language bookmarks, and other sources.
- Russian Sites
- A number of links concerning the country and its culture to be used by students of higher institutions, middle schools and high schools. Has a map of Russian web sites, a link to Russia Net, and Russian Internet Yellow Pages.
- RUSSIAN URLs
- Contains web sites that are in the former USSR and those that relate to the Russian language. Includes search engines and ftp and gopher sites.
- Russian Webservers
- A list of webservers compiled at the University of Arizona. Includes sites located both in Russia and the United States. Reliable connections are in bold type.
- Russian WWW-servers
- A list of web servers located in Russia.
- UCLA Library Collections
- Links to Slavic and East European studies, to academic units, to news services, to electronic references, to professional organizations, etc.
- Yale University: Slavic and East European Studies
- Covers sources for the Cyrillic alphabet on the web, academic programs, journals, libraries, microfilm sets, news and newspapers. Has extensive list of resources: dictionaries, language pages, journals, etc.

- Amherst Center for Russian Culture
- The Whitney Russian Collection contains archival materials often unpublished or variant versions of writers' works. A number of important people such as V. Kandinsky, I. Bunin, V. Nabokov, B. Pasternak, Z. Gippius are represented in this collection.
- Soviet Archives Exhibit
- A Library of Congress exhibit of the new Russia, of the old political regime, and of the relation between the US and the USSR.
- Yale Russian Archive Project
- Created to provide access to documents of the former Soviet Union. Copies of the documents of the Russian State Military Archives are available here.

- Gazety i zhurnaly
- An alphabetic list to Russian language newspapers and journals.
- H-RUSSIA
- A moderated online discussion list. Provides access to reviews of books, online bibliogaphies and contents of journals, other reference and course materials. Calls attention to conferences, fellowships and grants, and employment opportunities. Focuses on Russia and Soviet historiography. May be searched by keywords.
- Journal of Slavic Linguistics
- Provides a comprehensive table of contents of the published issues of the journal. Has abstracts for the articles. Gives subscription information.
- Newspaper Collection
- A list and links of major newpapers, available with text and images. The broad categories of govenment and society, business and economy, culture and arts, and entertainment and family are covered.
- News Sources
- Links to online versions of major newspapers, daily or weekly.
- REECA Web - Electronic Resources on the Russian Federation
- Includes newspapers arranged by broad categories. Gives URL address for each newspaper.
- Rusweb
- Contains Russian articles selected from current periodicals. They are stored in categories according to format.
- Slavic Review
- Provides current and next issue table of contents.

- Anna Akhmatova Page
- Includes a biographical/historical discussion of the poet and links to other biographies. Has additional links to a collection of Akhmatova documents housed at Amherst; to her poems in Russian; to other Russian poets; and to web sites of Russian literature.
- Linguistics and Natural Language Processing in the World Wide Web
- Includes links to dictionaries, professional organizations, research centers, foreign languages. Has a great number of Russian and Polish links.

- A list of and links to journals and newsletters, maintained by the University of Rochester, NY.

- A list of links to linguistics journals and newsletters.
- Old Church Slavonic Texts
- An electronic collection of Old Church Slavonic texts. It is haused and collected at the University of Helsinki. Includes CODEX MARIANUS, CODEX SUPRASLIENSIS, and VITA CONSTANTINI and VITA METHODII. A number of other texts are being encoded and will be listed here. Has links to sources at other locations: KIEV FOLIA, FREISING MANUSCRIPTS, and PRAGUE FRAGMENTS.
- Pushkin Page (Arizona)
- Contains links to some of Pushkin's prose, tales, and poetry.
- Pushkin Page (Stephany Gould)
- Contains information about the poet's life: biography, photographs, genealogy, and museums. Has links to Pushkin's poems in Russian and those translated into English. Lists operas based on his works. The page which links to his humorous works also includes other sites of interest to Pushkin.
- Russian Literature
- A list of web links to general literary sources and major Russian writers. Provides links to Russian Literature on the Net, the Public Electronic Library, Chekov, Dostoevsky, Lermontov,Tsvetaeva, Turgenev, etc.

- Provides information about the department, resources and events, academic programs, and employment.
- Kennan Institute for Advanced Russian Studies
- The Institute promotes information and knowledge about Russia and the USSR. The website contains links to meeting reports, information on events, publications, scholarships and research assistship.
