Introduction & contact information
This guide is meant to be a starting point for research and is fairly general. It covers both print and web resources. For an even more general approach, see the subject guide to Political Science. Also see the subject guide for International Relations. There are several other good research guides available on the Infodome that are pertinent. Government publications, especially from the U.N. and the United States are also good sources. Ask at the reference desk for assistance. For further assistance, the following librarian should be consulted:

Finding articles
General periodical indexes found on the Library's home page, Infodome such as Proquest, Academic Search Premier, and Lexis/Nexis Academic are good to use. Newspaper indexes can lead to many stories on this topic. Indexes in Communication, History, Latin America, and Sociology are also very useful. More specialized and pertinent indexes are PAIS, CIAO, CountryWatch and the printed International Political Science Abstracts (JA 36 I5 in Ref)Top of page
