- CQ (Congressional Quarterly) Researcher:
- 1991-ongoing in Reference Services (Ref H62.E352)
- 1991-ongoing online
- Editorials:
- Editorials on File: 1980-ongoing in Reference Services (Ref D839.E3)
- Newspaper Editorials in Lexis-Nexis Academic:
use Guided News Search to search General News (news category)/
Major Newspapers (news source) for a hot topic (for example, death
penalty) and editorial in Headline and Lead Paragraph(s).
- Editorials in other periodicals (journals, magazines): search one of
the Library's good general databases
(Academic Search Premier (EBSCO) or
ProQuest Research Library),
using a keyword search strategy similar to the one used in Lexis-Nexis
Academic. (In ProQuest Research Library, limit your search to
Publication Type Periodicals if you don't want your search results
to include newspaper editorials.)
- Encyclopedia of Bioethics: 5-volume 1995 edition in Reference Services (Ref QH332.E52 1995);
4-volume 1978 edition on 5th floor book stack (QH332.E52 1978)
- Opposing Viewpoint Series: search the PAC for location.
- Periodical Articles (other than editorials; see above): search
one of the Library's good general databases
(Academic Search Premier (EBSCO) or
ProQuest Research Library),
using a keyword search strategy similar to one or both of the following:
death penalty and (supporting or opposing)
death penalty and (pro or con)
- Pro and Con: 1983 edition in Reference Services (Ref HN17.5I72 1983)
