- This part contains copies of the Combat After Action Reports filed after all major operations as well as a number of reports entitled "Lessons Learned" which describe the purpose, execution and results of the operation as well as the commander's analysis.
- Part Four. Vietnam: U.S. Army Senior Officer Debriefing Reports. 4 reels. Index by Robert Lester.
- Senior officers were required to submit debriefing reports to summarize events during their tenure. The contents covered a wide range of topics including major events, combat operations, logistics, general assessments and more.

- This guide was prepared for the Foreign Military Studies Program of the Historical Division, United States Army, Europe as a catalog and index to the manuscripts prepared through that program by former high-ranking German Armed Forces officers on a variety of subjects dealing with the war. The index portion is arranged by topic, military unit and author. Most of the entries in the catalog portion have brief statements describing the contents of that study. The actual documents are part of the microfilm set German Army High Command (D 1.23:G 35).

- The General Board was created in 1900 to act as a personal advisory committee to the Secretary of the Navy. Recommendations regarding issues involving naval strategy, technology and policy were studied. In 1917 the Board began conducting hearings to obtain expert testimony. Annual name/subject indexes are reproduced in the printed index helping to make the 23,000 pages easily accessible.
