San Diego State University Collection

The San Diego State University library is a full depository for California state publications. The State produces publications in a variety of formats including paper, CD-ROM and Web-based. A majority of California publications received in paper are located on the third floor in the government publications section (see map). Publications are arranged by the California Agency Classification Scheme and most do circulate. Publications from other US states are acquired on a very selective basis and are cataloged in the main collection.

To find California state publications in the library use:

The online catalog of the SDSU Library provides access to California publications issued after 1991.

California Card Catalog
Location: Reference The card catalog includes California publications issued in 1991 or earlier.

California State Library Catalog
Provides listings and descriptions of most of the holdings of the California State Library, including books, periodicals, microfilm or microfiche and maps. The catalog can be searched by subject, title, author, keyword or call number.

The official San Diego County web site providing information from county offices and community services. Information included: a historical perspective of the city, Board of Supervisors minutes, current jobs.

San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG)
San Diego Association of Governments consists of 18 cities and county governments. Information included: the Overall Work Program (OWP) that describes SANDAG's responsibilities, transportation plans and trends, regional planning for habitat conservation, land use, waste management and demographic and economic estimates using Census data.
