Finding Articles

  • Education Full Text Searchable database of full-text of articles in more than 400 education-related periodicals and yearbooks. Indexing begins in 1983, abstracting in 1994, and selected full-text in 1996.
  • Education Index Retrospective (1929-1983) Education Index Retrospective is a bibliographic database offering researchers coverage of over 500 English language publications on most educational topics from 1929 to 1983. For publications from 1984 to present, please consult Education Full-text.
  • The ERIC Database - The Education Resources Information Center from the U.S. Department of Education indexes journal literature and documents from 1966-present. 2004 materials have not been added pending revision of the database later this year.
    • ERIC via CSA- Features include article alerting to searcher's email box. QuikBib generates bibliographies in APA, AMA, Chicago 15, MLA, Turabian or Uniform. CSA supports Reference Manager, EndNote, and ProCite. SDSU students and faculty only.
    • ERIC via FirstSearch- Alternative ERIC resource. SDSU students and faculty only.

  • Education Journals: An Annotated Database for K-12 and Teacher Educators Searchable K-12 English language print and electronic journals for K-12 professional staff preparation. University of Wisconsin-Madison Center for Instructional Materials and Computing.
  • Children's Literature Comprehensive Database. Searchable catalog of children's and adolescents' books. Updated monthly.
  • LLBA, Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts - Indexes and abstracts journal articles, dissertations, book chapters and book reviews in the subjects of linguistics, language behavior, language acquisition, psycholinguistics, second language learning, reading processes, and related fields. Coverage is from 1973 to the present.
  • PsycInfo Index containing references and summaries of the world's periodical and book literature in psychology and related disciplines. Indexes journals in 27 languages. 1887 to the present.
