What's New at the Library

  • In celebration of the 140th anniversary of the birth of Mohandes K. Gandhi, a collection of some characteristic photographs of Gandhi will be on display outside of Special Collections throughout October 2008.
  • Writers Duff Brenna and Thomas E. Kennedy will read from their work on October 14 at 7 p.m. in Room LL430.

  • A new exhibit, titled "The Archaeology of Nate Harrison: Legacies and Legends of an African-American Pioneer in San Diego County," is on display in the Donor Hall through January 15, 2009. Harrison was a larger-than-life local figure and the region's first African American homesteader.
  • Need a good movie to watch this weekend? The Media Center contains hundreds of DVDs. Check out the selection online or in person. The Media Center is located on the basement level of the Library Addition.
  • Course Reserves is now located at the 1st floor Circulation Desk.
  • The Special Collections Department's New & Notable Blog showcases some of our most intriguing new additions to the collections, and will feature some highlights of our existing collections in the near future.
