Works Progress Administration (WPA) Murals in California

The goal of this project has been to survey, document, photograph, and create metadata on Works Progress Administration (WPA) murals in California. Text and digital images are now available in a searchable online database freely accessible to the public.

This "California WPA Art Database and Research Guide" has been funded through a generous award from San Diego State University's University Grants Program in 2007. Laurel Bliss, Fine Arts Librarian, and Melissa (Lisa) Lamont, Digital Collections Librarian, are responsible for the project.
