The generosity of our users and friends plays a vital role in maintaining the exellent
service we provide to students, faculty, and community members. There are many
opportunities to invest in the SDSU Library. Gifts may be directed to a specific
program or need in the Library (e.g., Special Collections, new technology, collection
development for a specific academic discipline) or gifts may be unrestricted, thus
enabling the Library to use the funds in the areas of greatest need. These gifts may be
monetary, or they can be donations of books or other needed materials. All gifts to the
library are tax deductible as defined by law. All donors to any area of the Library
are considered Friends of the Library, regardless of the designated purpose of their gift.
Your gift is a vote of confidence and it is one of the best investments you can make in
higher education. Friends of the Library receive the SDSU Newsletter, and invitations to
occasional library events.
Our success in the future depends, in part, on our ability to continue purchasing the
materials needed on a daily basis to support the curriculum and research needs of our
students and faculty. There are many ways in which you can help, each contributing to
the excellence of our library collections.
