Ellie Dworak, electronic systems and services librarian, published "Review of Reference Universe," in Charleston Advisor (6)4, April 2005; she ran the MERLOT Librarians Workshop at the annual MERLOT conference in Nashville, Tennessee, July 25-28, 2005, where she also presented "Training Librarians to Use MERLOT."

Robert Fikes, reference librarian, published "African American's Interest, Experiences, and Scholarship in Middle Eastern Cultures," in Western Journal of Black Studies (28)1, April 2005.

Patrick Sullivan, reference librarian, was awarded a U.S.-Mexico Fulbright Border Grant. His Fulbright will take place on a part-time basis during the spring 2006 semester and will allow him to explore the structure, collections and specializations of the Baja library community.
