An exhibit, showcasing Artist Derli Romero's Dextra/Sinistra, is now on display in the Donor Hall. A brand is made with a red hot iron which leaves its signet or design imprinted upon the paper. Using hands as his subject, Artist Derli Romero has applied this unique process of imprinting to his book. The language of hands is important in all cultures as a medium of communication and expression; to take the hand of another person or to offer it is a sign of friendship, of offering, or of pardon.
