Dia de los Muertos
11/1/01 through 11/20//01

We invite you to join us in celebrating Dia de los Muertos, a traditional Mexican holiday, in the Chicano Collection (LL-126) and help in creating a Day of the Dead altar. Dia de los Muertos is a day to remember and spiritually reconnect with departed loved ones. Bring copies of photos, mementos, or objects that remind you of your deceased loved ones to place on the altar. The Day of the Dead is on November 2nd, with celebrations beginning on November 1st. This is a joyous occasion when the memory of loved ones and the continuity of life is celebrated. Feel free to come anytime and make an offering. The altar will be dismantled on Tuesday, November 20th. Click on any photo or photo filename to begin moving through the altar's web photo gallery.
