Sea Shells Lyn Olsson |
I started collecting sea shells as a child in Southern California, and began purchasing shells from other parts of the world while in high school. Friends contributed to my collection, both of purchased and found shells. |

Collecting methods, especially in the Indo-Pacific, are particularly damaging to the native environments. A true awareness of the environment began at about the same time that I was purchasing shells, and I realized that through my buying habits I was probably contributing to environmental degradation. So the purchasing stopped, but my love for these beautiful objects has not. My collection numbers approximately 150 items. Enjoy! |
