Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the rest of the Peanuts crew have been favorites of mine since I was a young child. My family started buying the small pocket books for me early on, and I now have approximately 35 of them. Part of what appeals to me about these characters is the adult insights they have, though they are kids. Plus, there is probably a little bit of each character in all of us - from Linus's optimism and Schroeder's passion (for Beethoven) to Charlie Brown's feelings of isolation and goodness of heart.

Peanuts
A few items from Kathi's Peanuts Collection.

Knowing that I love Charles Schulz characters, family and friends occasionally give me Peanuts-oriented presents, such as the Snoopy bank and The Peanuts Cook Book. Sometimes I have treated myself to a stuffed Charlie Brown doll from England or to a pair of Snoopy socks. I continue to enjoy the TV specials and make a point of never missing "A Charlie Brown Christmas." They represent a never-ending tie to my childhood.

Physical exhibit curated by Kathi Neal. Virtual exhibit created by Mana Ghodsian and Marita Johnson under the supervision of Jossie Chavez.
