Asian Dolls Linda Jackson-Coyle |
When I was a child my father traveled overseas for his business and he would always bring my sister and me dolls from whatever country he traveled to. So, since childhood I've had a doll collection. |

After college, I worked overseas in U.S. military hospitals with the American Red Cross. I worked in hospitals in Vietnam, the Philippines, and Korea. Living in that part of the world, I was able to travel extensively throughout the Far East. In this exhibit are dolls from countries where I have either lived or traveled to. Displayed in the exhibit were dolls from Japan, Philippines, Korea, Indonesia (Bali), Thailand, and Vietnam. Dolls are wonderful to collect because they reflect culture and heritage through their costumes. |
