The Short Story and the Serial:
Popularizing Science Fiction
|
The science fiction genre remains intrinsically linked with short stories
and journal publications. From the 1926 appearance of Hugo Gernsbacks,
Amazing Stories to more recent issues of Galaxy and Analog,
pulp magazines and later science fiction digest magazines became the
vehicles through which many new authors were introduced.
