The poetry, natural sciences,
Californiana and literary works highlighted in this exhibit illustrate
that the virtues of handsome printing and typographic design
embrace a variety of genres and subjects. They demonstrate that the pleasures
of a well-printed book endure across generations and political or cultural
boundaries.
