The SDSU Library’s Department of Special Collections, in cooperation with the SDSU Department of Athletics and the Gwynn family, has unveiled a major exhibit celebrating the life and times of SDSU’s own Tony Gwynn.
One of the greatest athletes ever to play major league baseball, Tony Gwynn has also set records as an exemplary member of SDSU and the San Diego community. The exhibit explores his life and achievements and honors his election into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. It opened in March, 2007 as part of SDSU Month and will be on display in the Library’s Donor Hall and Browsing areas, as well as in the Department of Special Collections.
