History
San Diego State University's Friends of the Malcolm A. Love Library was
organized in l963 as an unincorporated organization, whose purpose is to
promote the love of fine books and book collecting, issue publications at
intervals, enhance the distinction and prestige of San Diego State University
through enrichment of its library, and promote and encourage original research.
The Friends are highly supportive of Special Collections by way of obtaining
materials for its collections, and sponsor luncheons, lecture series, and
other activities. The collection includes correspondence, minutes of meetings,
collection and gift information, activity and event information, publications,
and financial statistics.
