  • The Reference Desk -- get help with any question you have about the library (more)

  • Many computer workstations -- for accessing a large number of databases and the Web (more)

  • A large collection of reference books (more)

For telephone assistance, call (619) 594-6724.

The Reference Desk

The Reference Desk is staffed by library assistants and librarians who can help you with all types of questions including directional, finding articles and books, policies. Librarians at this desk can assist in the selection of resources both in print and electronic formats and can help you use these tools effectively and efficiently. In addition, appointments can be made with the librarians for in-depth consultation and assistance away from the desk. A list of librarians by subject specialization is provided here.

Electronic Reference Assistance (E-Reference)

Librarians in Reference Services can assist with some research questions using e-mail.  Select here to send us a message and a research librarian will either contact you with the answer or will provide you with strategies for finding the answer to your question.

Please make sure to include your full name, SDSU affiliation (if applicable), e-mail address and the question, clearly stated, in your message. We will respond as quickly as time permits.

You can also use our live chat help service. Use this chat reference service any time you're stuck with your research or with a database or web search
